RADIO SPOTS THAT BROUGHT THE THRILL OF DRIVING TO ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE IN HISTORY.

There’s thrilling, and there’s driving-an-Aston-Martin thrilling.

Over the course of history, there are multiple people who are massive thrill seekers. But none of them compare to the real thrill seekers — those who crave automotive racing experiences.

Let’s downplay the other more thrilling experiences in history, and compare them with the real excitement in an ironic way.

We create soliloquies about some of history’s most famous daredevils, and trivialise their efforts by comparing them to test-driving an Aston Martin.

In a time when the most daring act was hailing a cab during rush hour, Philippe Petit wasn’t satisfied crossing the street like everyone else.

Instead, he looked up at the Twin Towers and thought, while others go low, he will go high.

Very high.

So he decided to cross the Twin Towers on a tightrope wire. At a height no less than 1,350 feet.

Not content with merely defying the odds, he danced, twirled, and even laid down on the wire.

Like most of the people below him at the time, you’re probably wondering if it was boredom, performance art, or simply being desperate for a thrill.

If you yearn for the same thrills, yet are terribly afraid of heights, don’t do what Philippe did.

Instead, you’re better off test-driving the Aston Martin Vantage. Experience the thrill at 45 Leng Kee Road.

Born Robert Craig Knievel, Evel Knievel was arguably the world’s most famous stuntman.

Sporting a signature red, blue, and white striped costume, complete with adorning white cape, he made it a habit to jump over large distances and over large things.

Which weren’t always mutually exclusive.

His most notable attempt was when he tried to clear the Snake River Canyon — a 40-kilometre wide gap — on a rocket-powered motorcycle.

He did not make it.

No thanks to a faulty parachute, and terrible timing. But he did live to tell of the time he almost did.

Suffice to say, that was probably one of the more thrilling things that he’s done.

But if you’re seeking the same thrill, without the same death-defying demeanour of Robert, why not test drive the Aston Martin Vantage? Experience the thrill at 45 Leng Kee Road.
